"If you run with a toy, I'll chase you with a toy!"

One thing that I love about Kyzer is how generous he is with his things. He's not one of those dogs who is possessive over his toys, or even his bones/food. Whenever he's around other dogs, he shares his toys, and even lets other dogs take his toys away from him! Having a dog that isn't possessive over their things is a HUGE relief when it comes to having other dogs around. Although Kyzer is a little territorial over the property, once he smells the dog and gets a proper meeting, he's perfectly fine inviting them in the home and sharing his toys. At least we don't have to worry about Kyzer getting mad because another dog has his toys or is chewing his bone.

Last year, my sister came to my parents house to visit and brought our Yorkie as well. Growing up we had this Yorkie, but when my sister moved to Illinois my parents let her take him with. Our Yorkie, Lance, was an awesome dog. But, he wasn't very open with sharing his things, or having a relationship with any other dog. He was one of those dogs that just wanted to play with something because the other dog took an interest in it, and he also was one of those dogs who would have his own bone, but wanted to take the bone from the other dog just because. Well, a year ago Kyzer was only about 4 months. And all he wanted to do was play with anyone and any dog that he could! So he didn't understand when Lance didn't want to play with him, and he only wanted to take all the toys. Kyzer would chase Lance (and one of his toys) all around the house but Lance would never let him have the toy. Although Lance was not even 10 pounds, he was pretty intimidating to baby Kyzer. So Kyzer decided that the best way to compromise would be whenever Lance was running around with a toy, Kyzer would also grab a toy and chase him.

This way, they both would win!

  1. I remember Lance doing that!! So possessive, haha! Kyzer seems so sweet, even if he's a bit hyperactive. =) It's so nice of him to share! Does he get along well with the other dogs at the dog park?
