Kyzer and his Pig

Before we even got Kyzer, we went to numerous pet stores and Wal-Mart in order to get supplies for him before we brought him home. One of the favorite things we came across was a bright green pig from Wal-Mart...that when you squeezed it it sounded like an actual hog.

Now this pig was about the size of my size 8 shoe, or maybe a 20oz can, so when Kyzer first experienced it when he was 8 weeks old, he was a little overwhelmed that it was the same size as him. Now, this may be a little surprising, especially how in previous videos Kyzer seems to bark a lot...but when we first got him he never made a peep. But for some reason, when he got a little bit bigger, he started to bark while making the pig honk, almost like he was trying to overpower the pig.
It was the weirdest thing!

He's never acted this way with any other squeaky toy. Even as he got older he never seemed to grow out of this habit.

This lasted until this past fall when first Kyzer ripped out the squeaker and then...he decapitated the pig. I wish I had a picture, but he pretty much ripped the face off it. I know dogs probably don't get too attached to toys that they remember when they are gone, but I think he misses his pig! One of these days I'll buy him a new one. But not going to lie it's nice not having to listen to him bark along with the loud toy anymore. Trust me. It got real annoying.

If you have a dog, does he have a unique toy that makes him do weird things?

  1. Pahahaha! That's too funny! He knows his toy is talking to him and it SHOULDN'T be! xD Ashes (although she's a bunny) loves to chew things to shreds and throw everything around (and over her head), but when you give her a stuffed animal, she nuzzles it and licks it all over. =) It's so sweet!
